I’m so excited to release Peach Clobber, the eighth Dewberry Farm mystery; I’ve had lots of fun taste-testing recipes and visiting local orchards to do my research. In fact, Child #1 and I visited a farm west of us just last week. No peaches yet, but we visited the goats, loaded up on strawberries and fresh flowers… and made a nice, big batch of jam!

It’s springtime here in my little town north of Austin, and the poppies are in full bloom; I’ve got bluebonnets and larkspur coming up in my wildflower garden, and I just planted two Don Juan climbing red roses and a ton of geraniums, along with some sweet alyssum that’s supposedly heat-tolerant. (We’ll see.)

Child #1 is taking a gap year before grad school and is working in a bakery on the town square, which means the scratch-and-dent cake slices come my way. (I may need new pants soon.) Child #2 is finishing his sophomore year at college and will be home soon… I’m looking forward to having both of my fledglings back in the nest for a while. The years go fast, don’t they?
